May Shaw Health Centre

May Shaw Health Centre is a modern, purpose built aged care facility surrounded by extensive gardens. All rooms have views (some with water views). Peaceful internal courtyards abound for relaxation and include a courtyard with vegetable garden for the residents use.

A large well-equipped & fully accredited commercial kitchen ensures our catering staff provide home cooked meals to meet the dietary requirements and tastes of all residents and inpatients. Individualised and cultural specific diets are easily accommodated.

Multiple lounge areas provide opportunities for residents, family and friends to socialise privately. Our residents are encouraged to maintain friendships, memberships to organisations and community groups outside the facility and to pursue individual interests and hobbies.

The Internet cafe and kiosk provides an ideal location for residents to meet each day to form new friendships and share stories and laughs. Our hairdressing saloon enables residents to manage their own needs independently from families.

A heated spa swim pool assists with exercise therapy and is able to be used by all residents including mobility impaired.

Our residents are able to participate in group activities and individualised programs, which are developed to cater for resident's preferences. Residents enjoy scenic drives, lunches and day trips to locations such as Hobart and Launceston in our own bus.
